If a college baseball game is called during the top of the fifth inning, but cannot be deemed an "official game" do the stats count? In other words, are the innings pitched and all the stats that go with that, or 3 at-bats and all the stats that go with that counted although the game was called before it could be deemed an "official game"?

Bottom line: If it's not a game, are there no stats?

If there is a thread that has talked about this question previously, just point me to it.

What MaxE had written was that basically "no-game, no stats" and that you would just simply go to the next pitcher, (if I'm remembering correctly) in the rotation during the next game. That led TRhit to ask, "... even if the game is four days later?"

I don't know why he deleted his comments unless he thought my "Drats" statement was directed towards him. I was simply saying what rotten luck. My son hit his first college homerun during that "no-game" but it won't count, and then I thanked him for the information.

I apologize if that offended you, MaxE. Someone told me that the stats would count but I thought I would ask you all, "the people in the know" and felt comfortable with and appreciative of your information.
