RJM,

quote:
“The first thing to know before starting this journey is by high school no one is going to remember who the preteen studs were unless the conversation is about blowing out their arm.”

This is not the way it is here in SoCal; many of the pre-teen studs go on to have very good careers and do not injure them selves enough to stop them later.
quote:
“Most of the preteen studs my son played with and against are not high school pitchers.”

Why would it be so different where you live, I see it going both ways?
quote:
“Several injured their arms from pitching too much.”

If you have non injurious mechanics you cannot injure yourself accept at the bone growth level. This makes your statement about pitch count bogus for the rest. The traditional motion that everybody is taught causes all the major pitching injuries,
This makes it a top half mechanical issue.
quote:
“When my son was nine I let him pitch one inning a week.”

Excellent.
quote:
“When he was ten it was two innings.”

Excellent
quote:
“At eleven three innings.”

Very commendable.
quote:
“When he was twelve he pitched up to six a week since his arm was stronger.”

This is where you started to increase to early if he is an even maturer, at this biological age all of the growth plates in his elbow are still wide open and his epicondile barely shows up on an x-ray.
quote:
“Check out amsi.org for pitch counts. ASMI was founded by Dr James Andrews, one of the leading sports medicine orthopedic surgeons in the world.”

Again bogus pitch count recommendations that are still destroying youth arms.
Amazingly many of ASMI clients end up on Dr.Andrews’es stainless steel table.
quote:
”While Mike Marshall (mikemarshall.com)”

That would be DrMikeMarshall.com
quote:
“makes sense on protecting young arms,”

Makes sense on protecting all age arms, shoulders and the rest.
quote:
“his mechanics are offbeat “

Yes the tempo is faster.
quote:
“along with being a paranoid kook.”

Being black balled for being to knowledgable, helping form the union and free agency does tend to make you an outcast but paranoid, don’t think so
quote:
“He has a cult like following.”

Only with the ones who have tried it physically or witnessed it personally.
quote:
“After forty years of research not one Marshall disciple has pitched in major college or pro ball.”

This is a blatant lie and you probably know it but cant bring yourself to actually admit it to yourself, that’s sad. Are you guys going to keep passing around the same false talking points? Talk about tiresome!

Then who are they? If people are lying when they say nobody has ever pitched major college or pro ball using Marshall mechanics then prove it. Name some names of people who were / are successful using these mechanics. Plus what are some stats of these successful Marshall mechanics pitchers and how long did they play pro ball?

His growth plates are still open as a 6'1", fifteen year old soph. He's never had a sore arm. He's been used in relief the past three years due to his above average velocity and ability to throw strikes after a short warmup. He pitched about 50-60 innings in each of the past three years.

I've only found Marshall pitchers (full buy in) at some average or below average D2 and D3 programs. I discovered some of his students weren't very good high school pitchers. They must think Marshall can turn water into wine. Marshall's a thief for taking their money and their time (more than a year).
