Is there an ideal point in the delivery for breaking the hands or does this vary based on individual arm speed?

When landing the stride foot what is considered the ideal throwing hand postion or does this also vary based on arm speed?

Thanks in advance for clarifying. good

MT,

If we are working with a young inexperienced pitcher, we will have him break hands as soon as his lift leg starts down from it's highest position. This creates better balance and stability and tends to keep him back better.

We have even advised high level pitchers the same (if balance and leverage appear like a problem).

The truth is there are many differences among highest level pitchers. And I believe there are some very knowledgable pitching people who teach late break of hands. I think the reason is to add speed to the arm.
