dannymac, good question. I'm sure the questions vary from "none" to "dumb".
Here are the questions that I know I had when my son was recruited.
1. Explain the scholarship and the expense. (we had a budget)
2. What role if any do you see the parents playing (if any) during the next 3-4 years?
3. If we have concerns about our son (non-baseball) who should we contact?
4. What restrictions/rules do you place on your players curfew, dress code, academics etc.
5. Does the team provide academic support for the players (tutors etc)?

There were many questions we parents have that pertain to the baseball portion of being recruited i.e. playing time, position, uniforms, equipment, etc that we won't ask --- as it should be. However a good coach knows parents want to know "everything" and most will volunteer enough information --- very helpful to the parents and I think establishes the coach as being a strong leader and firmly in charge.

When my son was being recruited the head coach and assistant coaches provided me with cell phone #s and home phone #s and explained if I had any questions feel free to call. I knew he didn't want me to call nor did he expect me to call but that was reassuring to know that option was available if I "needed" it.
