More amazingly - he hit 3 in a row in that game - then - the next day - he was put in as a pinch hitter again - and hit another homerun.

He didn't even get into the game until the 9th And the next day he hit another HR as a pinch hitter to make it 4 in a row. A very Artful streak.
Just a guess -- but how about Gates Brown from the Tigers in the late 60's?
