Can anyone enlighten me on the process of recording IF and OF velo's? Are they doing this with one of the Stalker guns? Am I correct in assuming that the gun is positioned behind 1st for infield and home plate for the right field reps? Thanks

I've seen a bunch of different measurement techniques and different radars used. One of them I'm not even sure he had the radar turned on and was just going by competitor's measurements.
My son has done quite a few showcases where these were measured. Measuring INF has always been done from 1B; often behind a screen. I've seen OF velo taken from different ranges. From roughly home to as much as 75% of the way towards the outfielder. No clue which is correct/best. I've mostly seen Stalker Pros being used.
When my son was doing these we played around with a few techniques. We found that fron the outfield its best to throw directly at the head of the guy holding the gun as if he is the cutoff. Don't worry about the actual accuracy of the throw to home, throwing at the gun yields highest MPH.
