The other day my team and I were fooling around and I threw a pitch from the mound and was clocked with a Bushnell radar gun which is very cheap compared to stalker (about $150) My teammate was behind the backstop from a 60'6 mound. It read 74. My question is how accurate is the Bushnell radar gun. Where can I expect myself while getting clocked with a Stalker at a showcase or something like that.

Thanks!

A Bushnell gun is very accurate if you use it according to specifications. It has a max. distance of 60 ft. so it isn't very practical for anything above youth ball. However, it can read up to 120 mph accurately if you use it within 60'. So, if you are just looking to get a reading in preparation for a showcase, have another player shoot you halfway between the mound and home plate just slightly off to the side. You should get a fairly close reading.
