Made it over to L.D. Bell High School tonight for the Texas state boys gymnastics meet. There were some unbelievably talented young men there with about 25 statewide high schools represented. (Several of your schools were represented Keller, Rockwall, Allen, Berkner, etc) If I never hear "Mojo, Mojo, Mojo" over and over again it will be too soon. Smile You would have thought the folks from Odessa were at a Friday night football game. (and yep, they had the talent to give the Mojo fans something to cheer about.) Smile

From the South Plains:

Lubbock avoided the rain and 4-4A is settled.

Frenship beat San Angelo lake View 6-1 to finish with a 9-1 record.

Lubbock Estacado helps themselves and Frenship by beating Andrews 8-7. Andrews finishes 8-2. Estacado finished third at 5-5.

2-5A isn't settled yet. Lubbock Monterey's game at Amarillo High got rained out. They'll try again today. If Monterey (3rd seed) wins, Lubbock Coronado wins the district outright, with Amarillo 2nd. If AHS wins, they tie for district with CHS and AHS will be the top seed.
Plano East 13
Allen 12

WP - S Richards S - Emens
LP - B Scheuhler

HR - E: Gomez, Noland

LH -- E: 3 hits - Stead, Gomez; 2 hits - Emens, Scarborough, Snider, Wylie
-- A: 3 hits - Curtis, Johns; 2 hits - Bolton, Padgett

East finishes with a 2-game win streak, ending on a positive note. After today, only 1 5A team will end their season with a win! <-- ok, the perspective of a sudden spectator Smile

Good luck to the 8-5A teams in the weeks to come!

Congrats to Keller, Northwest and P.East on their wins today!!!!!!!!! Big day/night for all 3 teams..............

In another game tonight I heard that FMHS beat Plano 4-2 so that means FMHS and Marcus will meet on Monday for a 1 game playoff to determine who goes on to post season play for 8-5A and who is finished for the year.

FYI: the Marauder team started district 1-4 and has just completed a 9 game winning streak, it has been an amazing ride!!!!!!!!!!!!.......the coaches, players and parents are hoping to keep the streak alive Monday night against our crosstown rivals..........

Yep, Matt was there.

And, after trying to bunt two outside pitches, on a 1-2 count, Andrew nearly put one out of the yard at about the 397 marker at Al Alford's field, as big bro did a few times.

And, not many observed as closely as dad and the brother, but the little brother played very well, defensively, that evening...........

Now, Rock and Rowlett, what is that schedule? Did I see Thursday? I'd like to catch some of that with the swingdoc.

What's ya'lls matchup and schedule T-Bird?

Practice game for the Bulldogs on Friday afternoon and finals week at Tech leaves the baseball cupboard pretty bare out our house, so might need a fix.

Way to go Andrew! I am sure dad and brother would have taken the opportunity to find some chinks in the armor had there been any. Wink

Don't have the schedule yet, but if I read the UIL bracket right, Northwest will play the third place team out of 10-4A, which I think is Dallas Spruce.

I will post when I get something solid.
