The NCAA does not require a SAT score. My son played 3 yrs of NCAA Division I baseball and has never taken an SAT test. Entrance requirement vary from one college to another so check out each school's minimum requirements. There are different test used by colleges to evaluate students. I know of four, the ACT, SAT, PSAT, SATII and have heard of others. The ACT seems to be the most common standardized college entrance test in this area and was adequate in my son's situation. Once you are accepted at a college, that college’s academic advisors will tell you the needed courses, hours, and GPA to remain eligible to compete.
