re McKinney Marshalls team

I didn't know they had older teams? Did they restart the program Catcher built?

We've had nothing but a positive, honest experience with Coach Haedler, and are excited about playing on their 17u team next summer.

No Newscout, she's asking about the Marshals not DBAT.

Catch started the Marshals

So catcher played for Dallas Mustangs? Then started the McKinney Marshals? Then went and joined the DBAT Mustangs? So next year will he be with DBAT or Dallas Mustangs?

When it comes to any select team:
1. Interview the coach. Your son won't play for the organization as much as his coach. Dave Haedler is a good guy and his heart's in the right place. That is unrelated to who your son will be playing for. Ditto, for all of the other organizations out there.

2. What role do you expect for your son on the team? How does that compare to the coach's expectation for your son?

3. At 17, it is pretty important that your son gets exposure to folks at the next level. Does your coach/organization have those contacts? What tournaments are they playing and why?

17 is a big summer for getting future opportunities. Focus less on the "brand" and more on what it will mean for you son.
