Just wanted to share ...
Have you ever thought about why the Lerners have so much RED in the Nationals uniform?
My good friend who is my former American Legion coach as well as he's like a father to me shares the following reasons why the Nationals need to switch to Blue:
- The Nats biggest rivalry is the Phillies and we don’t like the Phillies fans in Washington, so why do we want our fans dressing in the same colors? When the Phillies fans come to Washington, one does not know who is who
- George Washington wore BLUE and we fought the Red coats (British)
- And the Red coats also burnt our 1st White House down
- The cold War was against Russia who was known as The Reds. Also, Cincinnati during the 60’s even changed their name from the Reds to the Red Legs
- Our adversary now is China (The Reds)
- So please tell me why the Nations Capitol baseball team would want to wear Red?
- The only thing that Red represents in Washington is our national deficit
- Are we wearing Red because the stadium used to be in the Red light district?
- The uniforms should be navy pinstripe with the Nationals spelled out in script and outlined in red with Blue numbers on back outlined in red with blue socks and blue undershirts with baseball hat being navy with white curly W outlined in red with red button (only 1 hat needed) … No player names on home uniforms … only names on away uniforms.
- Blue looks more prestigious!
- So why not BE TRUE and WEAR BLUE?
Now this team would look prestigious like the Yankees!
