So I realize that 98% of all the "stuff" my 2017 is receiving from colleges is basically money making opportunities for the college. A couple of weeks ago my son received a questionnaire from a school he would be very interested in. This came a few days after they were at a private showcase put on by his travel team. Our travel program seems to put a large number of players on their roster. The college has one of the top programs in the area he is thinking about majoring in. Decent Mid-D1 program. Today he received an email from them stating. "Under NCAA bylaws we are only allowed to send you questionnaires and camp information. Here is a link to our camp info [link]. If you would like to reach out to us, here is our contact info. [Coaches name, email address and phone number]."
This was sent directly to him and not sent out as part of a spam service. Maybe I'm reading too much into this but their de-emphasis on actually promoting their camp leads me to believe they might actually be interested. The phrasing is pretty much as above. So do others think this is legit or just another attempt at getting him to a camp.
