I just attended a showcase camp Sunday, and today I got an influx of letters from the universities close to where the camp was located, basically asking me to come to there showcase camps and exposure camps. Are they just blowing smoke at me or do they sincerely want me to come to the camp and are they recruiting me? Any input would help.

Congrats on the mail! You could be a prospect, but you are definately a possible customer right now. Schools do sign some of their campers. Some more than others. Not all campers can play at each sachool though.

If they are recruiting you, they will tell you, first by mail, then on the phone, then maybe in your living room with your folks sitting there.

Good luck! Smile

Dad04 is correct in everything he said. Basically, my advice would be to consider going to a camp if THATS a school you would strongly consider attending...otherwise, your money is better spent playing for a good travel team in good tournaments (East Cobb, Jupiter, JO, etc...) or some well-respected showcases (Perfect Game, TeamOne, Area Codes, CollegeSelect, etc...).

Good luck! And don't stop asking questions.
