Thinking about the (un)affordability of MLB for the average family these days...and comparing to the surge in interest in college athletics over the past 25 years. Add to that the 500 channels or so I get on my digital cable now, and...

Do you all think that in another 10-15 years college baseball will be a lot like college basketball? 2-5 or 7-10 games on TV every weekend?...Tuesday night game-of-the-week? Bigger stadiums? Increased hype?

I kinda think its going to happen. Will the costs of running college baseball become less relevant?

Coach Merc - Thanks for that link! As a person who follows college basketball, I find those figures interesting by themselves. UK's basketball budget is a 1/4 of it's entire budget! That's a pretty big chunk of the pie!!
