Recruiting Email

First of all, welcome to the site!

Based on your synopsis, it sounds like your brother received a message that indicates that he's found his way into the school's database of players. Depending upon the school, that database can be pretty large.

When an email becomes more special, it sends the message that they've seen a player, have been impressed by him, and it would often encourage the player to visit; as in a "Junior Day" event.

It also sounds like your brother responded appropriately; communicating his interest in them and giving them material/information that would help the coaches gain a better appreciation of his play. Later in the year, he should make them aware of when/where they can see him play; along with any significant developments on the academic front (i.e. test scores and grades).

He shouldn't be discouraged or disappointed by the fact that he hasn't heard from them yet, as they're probably in the midst of Fall Baseball and have turned their attention there for awhile. Believe me, if they're genuinely interested in your brother, they'll make a point of seeing him next Spring/Fall and let him know, accordingly.

if he is interested in going to that school call the RC and tell him that you would like to come for a visit.Don't wait. That coach is interested in other players also, and that other player may show more initiative in making contact with the coach. It's easier for a coach to recruit a player that has interest in said school. Recruiting is a two-way street. Good Luck.
