I was reading Bob's recruiting schedule and I'll share this. The info says to register with the clearinghouse in September of the junior year. I just did that online (our high school didn't have the forms) but I called Iowa City just to make sure I did this correctly. They said that I was early, but really wouldn't matter. What does matter is sending the clearinghouse a copy of student's transcript immediately after junior year. That may be in Bob's timetable, but I didn't see it. Have a nice day.

I know that I posted this in the wrong forum, but forgive me.

That is a good reminder about the transcripts. Technically a player only needs to registered with the clearinghouse senior year and have his HS send in the final transcript. HOWEVER, the problem with waiting is if any of the courses do not qualify or the player is short on required courses it is a little late to make changes! If you and your HS are on top of the requirements it is rare that this will happen. But it does happen often enough across the country to make it worth your time and effort to get registered early and to request your HS send in end of year transcripts. Cool Another item, when taking those SAT and ACT tests remind your player to select the NCAA Clearinghouse as one of the "colleges" that should get a copy of their scores. This will save you a few dollars and time in requesting these scores be sent after the fact. Frown And last is to remember that the NCAA clearinghouse requirements ARE NOT the same as the minimum course requirements for colleges. Both need to be met to qualify for admissions and playing baseball. Maybe the timeline can be updated to add more items? Smile
