Recruiting results for lefties

In another post, the discussion about walk-ons in comparison to scholarship money came up. I was wondering how this recruiting game played with left handed pitchers/position players in the fold. Do they get extra looks even though they may be an average lefty pitcher in comparison to a righty? What's the story and results from those who have gone through this before?

It depends on the schools needs. Always check the roster to see what a coach may be looking for before deciding where to walk-on. All things being equal go to the school you will enjoy for the next 4 years ...and let the chips fall where they may. Whatever school you decide to walk on to make sure the coach knows who you are ahead of time, remember separate yourself from the many and let the coach know you are one of the few.
