My 06 son got a call from a recruiting service after he filled out his name on their website. They want about $300 to recruit him to August 1, 2006, the day of letter of intent.

I went to Yahoo, searched their directory, and came up with MANY other recruiting services.

I was just wondering if this is a scam or what? I first thought it was a good idea, but after seeing how many their are and their prices, etc, are they really worth it? Do they really work?

Thank you for any information you can give me.

Top 25 colleges get letters from 1,000 to 10,000 players all claiming they can play college baseball.

With any recruiting service ask, what is the screening device and what percentage of players that sign up play college baseball. There are some good ones, alot more bad ones out there.

Most parents have no clue how good their kid really is and will greatly exaggerate their abilities. How much money you spend on travel ball means nothing , can your kid play is the only thing that matters.
