Anyone here go to high school in NY and take the Math B regents? I'm a sophomore and took four regents this year (Global last Wed., Math B Thursday, Spanish Friday and Chemistry next Wednesday) and that was by far the toughest one. A lot of my friends say they they hope they curve it like they did last year and I honestly feel the same way, even though every regents I've taken in the past I've gotten nothing under an 88 on. Anyone share this feeling about the test?

Im a Junior and I took Math B last year, it is by far the hardest regents I have ever taken. And it showed I scored a 71, the only one that i ever scored below 85 on. And I dont believe there was much of a curve on it last year, I heard it was only 5 or 6 points. And these regents exams dont matter much as long as you pass unless you are planning on going to a SUNY school, cause otherwise they just get averaged into your final grade.

I failed Math B, even though I studied a decent amount for it. What annoyed me was that so many people cheated and I declined someones offer to copy off of them. No regrets, though.

you can find out the curve (if their is one). The tests are posted online pretty shortly after the test was taken, along with the scoring chart and answers.

Youre so lucky you dont have to take them. They are tests on whole courses, usually around 70 questions, and an essay of some sort.

indiana- regents are the final exams for the state. In reality they are pointless, but nonetheless without them we can't graduate. If we fail the regents, we fail the class. So basically, one 3hour time period determines everything for you. By far the stupidest method and one they should just stop, but I'm not in Albany with them so I can't do anything.

rh- I took the earth science in 8th grade. nothing special.

Just took living environment regents. Lot's of questions were poorly worded, and my sci teacher told me the curve was for kids who are pass/fail but not kids who want to get a 90 instead of an 85, which pisses me off. This LE regents was also harder than any other past LE regents i took online =(

I just got done taking the chemistry final, and I took the german regents on Friday and the World History on Wednesday. None of them were that bad, but the chemistry questions, specifically the multiple choice were worded terribly, but that's traditional for science. The other two were actually pretty easy.

man that sux... at my school we take a final at the end of each semester and that plus all 3 six weeks grades average out and if u get a D- or above u pass the class for that semester

LOL- wish i was in the indiana school system. NY kids have to take finals and regents, which makes no sense cause whats the point of working hard in passing the class, passing your finals but then failing the regents, and having to take the class over again- there is no.
