All 5 HR's were solo shots!! Taylor & Sorrells hit back to back HR's in the 5th. Nico's HR was a BOMB. It landed on top of a very tall building in left center field. It had to be hit well over 400'!!

This game was a slugfest from the very first inning. A really fun game to watch. Game 2 should be another fun one.

TGUF....the umpiring crew was fine. The guy behind the plate, who has umpired several of our games this year, seemed to have a pretty small zone in my opinion. (for both sides) These guys need to realize this is HS ball and not the major leagues in my opinion.

Congrats to North on a good season. I was impressed with North and the way their boys battled to the end. We heard that ML may have been a little under the weather but he gave it all he had and are fortunate to get out with a W. The zone did seem a little tight for both teams...but it was consistent. (I thought the crew was pretty good actually the entire series).

I'm still waiting for the ball Nico hit on Thursday to come down. Truly amazing. Interesting moving him to lead-off for tonight's game however. I would have kept him and that catcher you have together as you gotta pitch to one of them that way. But that's just me.
