Register now and hope for recruitment later?

It seems as if all the attention now is going to pitchers. My son is a 2010 MI and is just now showing a strong bat and growth (late bloomer). I am encouraging him to register to some JC or Div III schools and if offers come we can change later in the spring. Good or bad advise?

I just don't see him as a Div I player at this time. Should he be talking to coaches at Div II and Div III? Does he call the HC or Asst.?

All of your thoughts are good. And I advocate communication with whichever coaches he can find and who might have an interest.
