You raise a good question, that maybe my perceptions are not correct. I'm thinking that everyone who attended camp will get feedback at some point. That seems to have happened for all the other camps attended. Since that feedback has not happened yet, there is still hope. If the feedback is neg. I would have to assume the someone else was better. No?

I haven't found that to be true at all. I would say the vast majority of college camps provide ZERO feedback unless you ask. Even then, you are more likely to be ignored than not.

I don't think my 2016 received feedback on camps unless he asked.  He attended a few last fall and received feedback only from one - and he reached out to all of them.  This summer he attended 2 D1 camps.  He got feedback from the first but only because his pitching coach/trainer knows one of the assistant coaches there (which is why he started at that camp).  At the second camp he had probably one of his best outings of the summer and received nothing back (even after asking for feedback via email).

Got the feedback the good news and the bad.

(1) He was the best at the camp

(2) He can pitch D1....just not here!

(3) They project he will not improve much

(4) But they will watch again in Jupiter

"one day showcases" are impossible to evaluate the players unless they throw 90+, run 6.7 and hit the ball over or thru the fence.

Bob is right.

I never suggest traveling out of state for a camp unless they want to make you an offer.

Camps are for making money to help subsidize  their program or volunteer coaching salaries.  Traveling out of state occuring expenses could be better spent.

But they probably gave him a fair accessment of his ability.

Your pitchers ability probably falls in the mid to lower D1 tier or D2 program. At this point you might want to contact a JUCO and the maybe transfer. There is nothing wrong with that, if all goes well he might get a pick up in the spring. You have to do whats best for the player, and getting a roster spot in a place he doesnt really belong is a transfer later on.

On the contrary JMO, I have received plenty of good advice from this site regarding the recruitment process, how things work et al. Hopefully I have shared some good advice as well regarding subjects I think I know a little about. I did put up a 13 second video in the hope that someone could spot any flaws and then decided against it. Me thimks your too quick to judge!

I saw the video.  Looks ok to me.

Skeptical of wanting strangers to point out possible P flaws. In earlier post u proudly

y stated grandson P coach is former major leaguer, has yrs experiences coaching P at D1 level, and coaches P in Summer cape league .  Why would u want opinions about one short video?  When anyone posts videos for "help" u will get a lot of opinions.

my two cents, u said GS has GPA of 3.3 and average ACT scores, and wants to go into PT.  PT is very difficult to get into , he needs to work hard his Sr yr to get GPA up, and retake Tests in Spring.

Playing ball and having a difficult major is hard. Those who come in w high GPA and very smart study skills r the most successful.

Has GS thought at all about a JuCo? Better to go play there and develop in 2 yrs, then to go to a D1 and sit on bench for most of first yr and poss. Second.

guess we'll hear an update in Spring how weighted ball program went and how recruiting is going. The best advice I've seen here is to keep all options open. Good luck

NB! I immediately removed the video.

Parents are aware of JuCos as an option.
