The mental makeup seemed lacking at points. On the day his streak was broken, he did two seperate things that threw up respective red flags. First, he argued a ball didn't actually hit him in his last AB, which made me seem like he valued himself over the team. Second, in the post game interview, he said it didn't bother him because he would be breaking multiple records in the future. That second one may just be me because I prefer the mindset speak soft and carry a big stick, but they both seemed to jump out at me, and possibly the mental makeup held him back.
Yes, thanks for the update TPM, I had not seen the reports that the charges had been dropped or that he had signed with St. Louis. I did notice that he did not get drafted. There was definitely more visible press when he was charged then when charges were dropped. Hopefully this incident is behind him and he can move on.
