Any insight on their recruiting process ?

Does a player have to get in front of them immediately at end of Junior year, at showcases ?
Do they invite players to campus.  Not a fan of showcases, would rather to on campus

since we live within driving distance of the school.   Better to meet players and coaches,

and see the school, but not sure if this is an option there.

BL,

Have your son call and follow up with an email asking the coaches about their recruiting process.  Go straight to the people that know..the coaches.  My guess is their first question will be about grades and SAT/ACTs.  Be prepared to share that information and why your son would want to go there.  It is very possible they will share with your son the showcases and events they will be at this summer.  Try to synch your schedule with theirs.  Your son will be nervous at first but you can coach him and help him get past this initial nervousness. They all go through it.

Good luck.

BL,

RPI is a great school and has a very successful baseball program.  My 2015 position player completed the recruiting process early spring committing to another program, but RPI was on his short list.  He sent a few emails and video to RC towards the end of his junior season, visited on his own with RC in the summer, participated in Headfirst in August in NY and met HC, then went to RPI's weekend camp in mid-October of his senior year and spent night with players.

Good Luck!

My S was told of interest by HC, and invited to the camp, but nothing about spending the night.  Had more personal invite from another similar tech college, but planning to attend the camp.

I noticed they traveled more than many D3 schools. Seems to be related to
their lack of turf, they had early season trips down to Maryland/Va (above and beyond

the Florida spring training).   I am told they plan to build a turf field, but still fund raising.
