I have a great glove, a Rawlings something-or-other, and it's going into it's 3rd season of use. It's already had one re-lacing 2 months after I got it, because my dog attacked it, and the laces are starting to get loose again. Should I take it back to the shoemaker place that fixed it last time, since the reat of the glove is in good shape, or should I just break down and buy a new one?

Now that the season is upon us, I would recommend the relace. It will be fixed fast and you probably dont have the time to break in a new glove. The season is not the time to be trying new gloves, always try and work in a new glove in practice...

My son is a college SS and is breaking in a new SSK,...while using his Rawlings Pro Prefered as his gamer....by the end of this season, the SSK will be ready to be the gamer. No shortcuts in breaking in a new glove beats good old fashioned use.

You also need to make sure you are taking better care of your tools.....do your best to keep it clean, wipe it down, periodically tighten the knots...don't store a damp sweaty glove in your bat bag.....
