What are the requirements to letter in baseball?
Is it games played in, games started, innings?
Trying to clarify on behalf of some players.

One coach I know said that it is purely his decision and the requirements change every year. He did not give set guidelines and the players did not know until the night of the banquet and their names were called or were not called.
I wished coaches had a set number of games, starts, or innings and then communicated with players, but they do not always do that. I suggest asking the coach if he has a set of requirements and what they are.
I know some coaches use starting in at least 50% of District Games. The Pre-Season tournament games do not count. Similar to how football only requires, at some schools, to have 5 starts to letter. There are no set UIL rules, that I am aware of.
It is different school to school. If, for some reason, it's something you don't want to ask the coach about, just give the athletic director's secretary a call...bet she can tell you.
