With the finality of a season and a career not quite sunk in, I don’t want to let any more time pass without saying a few words of gratitude to a very deserving man.

Coach Robertson at Plano has restored discipline, and respect to what will no doubt be a strong program under his guidance for years to come. He led this team by example, the kind of example any parent would be happy to have a son follow into manhood. I now understand why a lot parents at South Garland were sad to see him leave.
I hope I can say this…(one small example of many, many) but removing starting players from the lineup (for what some would consider very small infractions) on 2 of 3 playoff games sends a message to your team…Some things are more important than a baseball game. His character, and how he lives and coaches, reminds the players every day of what he asks of them. Who you are, where you are from, and who you represent.

Thanks coach for a great two years, and good luck with many seasons to come!

Well said T-Ball.

Coach Rob made a difference in our boys lives. He put respect back into Plano baseball, and our boys can move on to the next journey with their heads held high. Coach Harrell and Garver also were there every day, with the same amount of passion Coach Rob had. Today is a sad day, as our boys are done with HS baseball. But it was a great run.....and a fun year!

great post t-ball. baseball coaches are human and have to make game changing decisions in a split second. they deserve far more respect than we as parents give them. it is much easier to sit in the stands and complain about a situation that didn't work than it is to applaud them for the decisions that do . i have no knowledge of the situation in plano where players were suspended but coach robinson is to be applauded for not giving in to the pressure to win over morals. plano is blessed to have him in charge of their program.
