Finally I got one right!

Most any competition that involves stellar defense is enjoyable to me personally...I know that is not true with the majority of sports fans...that's just the way it is and I won't argue the point.

One of the most dramatic and thrilling college basketball games that I can remember viewing was a game between the Stanford Cardinal and the Oregon State Beavers in the PAC-10 1980 season I believe.

The final score was something like 17-14 with my Beavers pulling out a very exciting win.

To enjoy that game you had to see it and not just catch the score. Literally every bounce of the ball was a potential game breaker from the opening whistle.

Conversely another PAC-10 game that same season, I believe, had the Cal Bears pitted against the Oregon Ducks...the Bears prevailed in that one something like 145-141 in 5 or 6 OT's. That was an entertaining game also...primarily because the Ducks are intense, in-state, rivals to my Beavers!
