I am a graduate of URI. They have really become one of the top programs in the Northeast over the past 5 years.
They actually opened up their schedule this weekend with four games against Dallas Baptist University.
They are one of the few programs outside of the South and Westcoast that plays the NCAA 52 game Max. because of three different spring trips.
The program has really come a long way. The programs greatest success has been in the past few years. I also believe they are picked to win thier division in the Atlantic 10. Great coaches that are very dedicated. They also put great pride in thier players academic well being.
Also a very good school with a wide variety of majors. Constant facility improvment and a beautiful area to spend you college days in.

Allow me to add to that which Coach C has posted--- there Head Coach Frank Leoni, was Coach of the Year in the A-10 last year

There is also a school Rhode Island College which is D3. Don't confuse the 2. People enjoy the location near the beach at URI and find great off campus housing there. The summer residents rent out the beach houses to students.
