Do these exercises benefit pitchers, hitters or both? My son's high school has started working with rice. My son says his arm feels tight if he does the exercises just before he throws.

I tried to do a search because I know this has been discussed before. But everything was coming up Rice U. and Jim Rice Smile

I agree.

I think this can be useful to develop hand strength, which can help with one's curveball in particular, but you shouldn't do it right before pitching.
