Coach Chuck Wells of Keller has gotten the head coaching job at Richland.
Coach Wells has been a great mentor to my son over the past 4 years and will be missed a great deal at KHS, but I congratulate him on his move, even if it's with a district rival.
The Richland squad over the past few years has been full of talent, but hasn't been able to win in 5-5A, and I'm sure Coach Wells will remedy that situation.
Chuck is one of the great guys coaching in the great game of baseball, and the Richland kids are lucky to have him.
He coached a JV Team at Keller and was the Varsity First Base Coach. He was also an assistant football coach at Keller, and I'm sure will continue coaching football at Richland as well.
