Yesterday bottom of the 5th runner on second no outs, Field ump calls balk and the pitcher throws the ball, my batter hits a double and scores the run. Umpire i thought at first was making the right call because he let the play extend. after the play ended he called my runner to 3rd and my batter back. I argued that it was a delayed dead ball and that since the ball was put into play we get to error on the side of the offense. Meaning we got to keep the double and the run scored. He didnt see it that way and the home plate ump was very new to baseball. Thanks in advance for any help.
