An appeal of a pitch must occur before the next pitch, so unless something transpired that you missed, no, this is not correct.

Also, there are no "assistant" umpires, just plate umpires and base umpires (and field umpires, in a 6-man system.)
Please excuse my terminology. No offense intended.
1st pitch check swing, called ball. No appeal.
2nd pitch called ball.Ump gives count...2-0!
opposing coach says whoa I thought he went around?
He asks for an appeal and it's granted. The plate ump asks the base ump and he say's he went around...and they went back in time and changed the call.

Not familiar with Simply the Best, but I have known of Lance for years. The last I heard from him he was operating the "Lance Cokalinsky School of Professional Umpiring and How to Get the Big Games."

His mechanics for nine umpires was pretty sweet.

Not as sweet as his class on how to properly wear three ball bags on the bases.

Was there ever a resolution to the Jim Porter meltdown? I heard that he had a tumor that affected his mental state and that he eventually died, or that he was simply a (insert word of choice here.)
