Jr's team went out and bought one to try after hearing whispers from player friends talking about how good they are. He says" unlike anything else out there. So much better that there is really no comparison." One piece, head heavy. Says they feel funny almost uncomfortable but the ball leaps from the bat. Jr. hit many out but said one that he didn't hit all that well one hoped the fence at 403' mark.

They have only swung them during pitcher BP's but every one is psyched about how they perform! I'm wondering if they will use them in the weekend series. Will let you know.
Our team has one. It seems to have a better sound and a little more pop than some of the others, but this weekend , it snapped in half just above the grip. They are sending another one, but apparently that is a fairly common problem. It is indeed, very end weighted. My son hates it and much prefers the Voodoo or the Omaha.

I bought one for my son to try, mainly because it has a 30 day money back if you don't like it. My son loves it. Says it feels more like the wood that he swings in the cages. We have several BBCOR bats on our summer team, we bought about 6 different models and brands. The most popular among our players are the Rip-It and the Cat-5 by Maruchi(sp?)
To all,

When Rit-it first produced their original BBCOR bat, the bat was phenomenal. Arguably the best BBCOR certified bat out there.

Several weeks ago, it was brought to my attention that the bat had been de-certified for collage and high school play.

I called the company and they confirmed that the original bat had been de-certified due to weight issues. Arrangements were made to replace the bat with a new re-certified bat.

When the new bat arrived, it was immediately apparent that the bat was not the same. The new bat now had "re-certified" stenciled next to the BBCOR, the end cap was much larger and the barrel of the bat had an odd taper to it.

When hitting, it was horrible, making a dead thud, not the familiar "ping".

Arrangements were made with the company for a full refund.

In short the original bat was great, but now useless for collage of high school. The new re-certified bats are not so good.
