In the Metro-East around St. Louis - Edwardsville vs any of the Belleville Schools.

Edwardsville vs Triad. I don't intend for this to be this big but... We can have hundreds if not a couple of thousand at a game. There is an interesting history here that should die. However, it is a yearly writeup prior to the game.

Triad v Highland - School Rivalry at its best. They have a great coach and great kids. You will find plenty of Bar-B-Que here since kids seem to do a lot of grilling prior to game time.

I'd have to throw in Lyons vs OPRF and Joliet Catholic vs Providence

These series have seen it all through the years. (and by the way, none of these schools like each other)

Very diplomatic ballfan. In my 20 + year affiliation with both schools..Fenwick and OPRF have the biggest overall rivalry. 1500-2000 @ Concordia in 03 for the game. If Fenwick were as competitive in baseball now as they most certainly were in the 80's it would rival any other. Fenwick/LT was also a sizzler until the Regional format was changed.

Fenwick and OPRF is a huge one you hear about all the time. Joliet Catholic and Providence is a good one too. The Evanston-New Trier rivalry was never a big deal to the rest of the state until these past two years, but it's stronger now than ever (for obvious reasons).

Sox...how could I forget Fenwick/OPRF. Was at a regional championship game a few years back at Fenwick, place was packed all the way around the fences.

Cary-Grove and Prairie Ridge. A huge rivalry in any sport ever since PR was created. In baseball this year it's gonna get crazy with both teams having high expectations and a lot of talent. It's great because everyone knows everyone else, some of us are teammates and friends, but hate each other when its gametime. Gotta love rivalries.
