this is very touching. the only thing in pi was loring afb. that was closed do to base reductions. i live 8 hrs from there, we had guy's driving down to find work. some got jobs and drove home weekends. can't imagine what this economy has done to it.

Katahdin is in Baxter State Park, more in the north central region. PI is close to the Canadian border on the eastern side of Maine.

i know. believe it or not, i've been to PI. it's an 8 hr drive from portsmouth.
i couldn't believe that it's about an 1 1/2 past the END of I95. go to holden and head north.
