I think Canseco's credibility is pretty much shot. No matter what, I find several of the names that Jose has mentioned to be pretty suspect (Wilson Alvarez?). IRod seems like a workaholic, and not like a guy who would be taking shortcuts.
I am sure it's just a coincidence that he is lighter than he’s ever been since he was 19 years old.
It seems to be a popular fad among the biggest players to lose weight and get in better shape since they all seem to be deciding to change their fitness regiment lately.
Does anyone think this new health kick will result in their production to go up?
It sorta amazing MLB players are attacking Canseco. Canseco was on steriods for a long time and so was alot of players, everyone knew that, and No one in MLB baseball did a thing about it
I seriously doubt Giambi and Bonds would have admited steriod use, if they have not been called in front of grand jury.
For those of you who give credibiltiy to anything Canseco says I have a bridge for you.
They have already proved two instances where the dates did not work in terms of what he was telling--even the time where the team mates he cited were not even on the team the season he talked about.
The prosecution needs stronger and more credible testimony than what Canseco gives them but Canseco got what he wanted---the book made the Best Seller Charts even before it came out.
Canseco also said that one year, in spring training, he was standing on 2B next to Bret Boone of the Mariners. reporters confirmed that Canseco never made it to 2B vs. the Mariners that year. Hmmmm...trying to sell books?
I think Canseco may know some names of who was "using" back then but he has zero credibility.
TR and Redbird are exactly right. now that canseco can't hit anymore he's selling books which are full of **** and his world series ring to get some money and attention. there was a good article on espn.com that proved several exerpts from his book to be dead wrong. one was the bret boone thing that redbird mentioned. canseco also made some reference to an at-bat he had in game 6 of the 2000 world series, which only lasted 5 games.
