This year at our first home District game, our daughter was home from college for Spring Break. Naturally, she was at her brother's game along with her boyfriend of nearly five years. His parents came to watch the game which I thought was nice. Well, the game was tied 0 - 0 after 7 innings and it was starting to get quite cold. I was pretty impressed that his parents were hanging around to see if my son came in to pitch relief. In the 9th inning we finally scored - I think it was a wild pitch and we stole home. We were sacking up our lawn chairs when the announcer started talking about special things happening at the ball field. "Please direct your attention to the third base side of the field". Of course, I am looking over at first base. He called out my daughter's name and asked her to stand because a young man had something important to ask her. It was wild - everyone was running up to congratulate them and of course a lot of people had cameras just because we were playing ball. My son realized what was going on and came bounding across the field - he had the biggest grin on his face! I finally realized boyfriend's parents were NOT there to watch my son pitch! I am just a little slow on the uptake sometimes. The wedding is March 15, 2008.

Ok...apparently your daughter's boyfriend is your son's teammate?
