Well deserved ... congrats are in order to both young men.
I thought Willy Taveras should have won in the NL.. helped lead the astros to world series... but maybe im just biased... Howard had a great year too

I'm with you, the numbers don't lie, but somehow he got lost behind the HR's of Howard... just goes to show the thinking of the writer's I guess.
Nevertheless one heck of a job by all Rookies this year, especially those that win the ROY

I was pulling for Francoeur as well, he seems like a great guy and I am a die hard Braves fan
, I was sure however, that it was going to Taveras, with Francoeur being a close second. They both helped propel their respective teams into the playoffs, Taveras did it the whole year, and Francoeur provided that mid-season spark that pushed Atlanta to its 14th straight title. Howard was great, but I think Taveras and Francoeur were more valuable to their respective teams. JMO.
PS. I wonder how many votes Duke got? He got mine.

Howard won because of what he did down the stretch. I called this months ago.

he helped me out alot, with getting my hips into my swing more. I myself, am more impressed with his abolity then numbers. the arm on that guy is amazing!
