Runner is out on appeal with following runners scoring

(a) Runners on 1b and 2b. One out. Both runners score on a double by the batter.
What is the ruling if the lead runner misses 3b and is called out on appeal for the second out? Does the second runner still score?

(b) Same situation as (a) but with 2 outs when batter doubles.

Rule 7.12

Unless two are out, the status of a following runner is not affected by a preceding runner's failure to touch or retouch a base. If, upon appeal, the preceding runner is the third out, no runners following him shall score. If such third out is the result of a force play, neither preceding nor following runners shall score.

In the case of one out in your situation cited, then there would be two outs and 1 run scored.

If there were two outs, then neither run would count.
