I know this off topic, but it is a sad day for us Packer fans as #4 has decided to hang 'em up. Bears fans can rejoice. At least you can all say the Bears sent him out in their own way with two wins over the Pack this past season.

What was the final tally on how many QB's the Bears have started since Favre took over as a starter for the Pack? Wink

I'm a Packer fan and it will be weird having to woory about a position we haven't worried about for 17 years. I think if they would have gotten Moss and signed Williams he would have stayed. They weren't oulling out all the stops to win now. I think they should have while their defense is still good with the two aging cornerbacks.

Anyway, I think he didn't want to be out there in the cold in the championship game. I think age factored in in the extremely cold weather. A younger Favre would have beaten the Giants.
I think the sentiment about signing Moss/Williams, may be more telling than we're reading into.

Perhaps the Packers think it's time to begin the Aaron Rodgers era? Perhaps their actions were consistent with trying to force that?

Not many get out of the game when they should...now Farve can be counted among the few.
