Salisbury University

Don't know anything about the college. Played on their Baseball field though last year. It's ok. Fake turf infield (not bad!)and a grass outfield if I remember correctly. It was in decent shape. Sorry I can't offer more than that.

Good college. About 3,000 students. Sister and brother-in-law both graduated from Salisbury. Very good sports as well. Lacrosse team is ridiculously great. Baseball coach, Doug Fleetwood, was a celebrated football and baseball coach in high school, and has taken the same attitude and work ethic to the college game.

We play them twice a year every year. One of the top DIII programs in the country. High quality talent, be prepared they bring in alot of talented players. Many don't make the cut, but they are usually top 10 material.

I heard that they Don't over recruit. That is bad news because my Friend's son is going there this Fall. I guess there is never a guarantee anyway. They were told that there would be about 15 pitcher's on the roster.

They claim they only recruit their needs. Howvever, do not be surprised if a "bunch" of recruits show up in the fall. This past fall they had 22 pitchers for 14 slots. A lot of Juco transfers.

Pirate Fan you are on the money. My son bought into their recruiting BS as a pitcher. He WASTED one year there and is now playing at D1 in Florida.
Their academics are no better than any other state school.

THEY OVER RECRUIT , Big time. Know of a shortstop who was told he was the man and shows up and two kids in next room were also told they were the ss.
