If he's 88-89 off the mound and 93 from the outfield, he doesn't have to say a word.

1) Sam Weinberg St. Charles North OF/RHP
Most impressive player in camp. Small but athletic. Above average runner. + arm from the outfield. Threw 93 mph from OF. Shows the ability to hit at the top of the order. Contact guy that pushes the bat. Was 88-89 mph off mound, with an extremely sharp 69 mph breaking ball. Very good change as well.
2) Dahveed Todd Kenwood Academy 1B
Big body with a linebacker’s build. Showed good feet and hands around the bag at 1st. Very good arm, but doesn’t use legs at all. Best bat speed in camp. Showed ability to hit for power, but hooks everything. This left handed bat is suited for the middle of an order.
3) Corey Kimes Ottawa LHP
6’5” left hander with a soft body. Slow, fluid delivery with an exploding fastball. ¾ delivery is effortless. Sat 86mph with good sink on FB. Extreme projectability depending on which way his body goes. Breaking ball was average at 65 mph.
4) Barrett Sarrato West Chicago SS
Pro body on this middle infielder. Good hands in field; showed great actions when he was on the move. Feet need work to get better rhythm on routine play. Has a chance to be a good 2 or 3 hitter. Hands are fast, but cast away from body, causing him to hook.
5) Trevor Stephens Glenbrook South SS/2B
Very polished middle infielder with the best actions in camp. Threw 82 from short. Very good swing. Will be top of order guy. Getting stronger is his next step. Small frame, but could add muscle.
