Does anyone have any experience with SBCC's Baseball program? My son's considering a JC in the central coast area and I have not heard much about the progam in Santa Barbara. Steve
Don't know alot about the baseball program, but the campus is very, very nice and I understand it to be solid academically. The school basically serves as a "feeder" for UCSB.
As far as the all day and night partying noted above, Santa Barbara has that reputation, but the partying aspect is present at most any and every school. As with anything else, it is what the individual wants to make of it.
my son plays in the same conference western state santa barbara had a very competitive team that made the jc tournament along with oxnard & cuesta beating out moorpark on the last game 4-3 their pitching was very tough make no mistake jc ball is way tougher than hs there are players in their twenties d1 dropdowns red shirts etc pitchers in the high 80's lo 90's with much better command and much snappier breakin stuff yes santa barbara city is in a beautiful area they play in a city park
