Don't know alot about the baseball program, but the campus is very, very nice and I understand it to be solid academically. The school basically serves as a "feeder" for UCSB.

As far as the all day and night partying noted above, Santa Barbara has that reputation, but the partying aspect is present at most any and every school. As with anything else, it is what the individual wants to make of it.

santa barbara had a very competitive team that made the jc tournament along with oxnard & cuesta beating out moorpark on the last game 4-3
their pitching was very tough
make no mistake jc ball is way tougher than hs
there are players in their twenties
d1 dropdowns red shirts etc
pitchers in the high 80's lo 90's with much better command and much snappier breakin stuff
yes santa barbara city is in a beautiful area
they play in a city park
