Is there a way to determine whether a D1 program is giving their full allotment of baseball scholarships? I was specifically interested in the California UC's like UCLA, UCSB, and Berkeley over the past several years. I have heard that some of these schools give less in scolarships than the 11.9 allowed.

You could ask the coaches if they are recruiting your son. I remember @ Junior Day several years ago that the UCD coach did specifically mention they were not fully funded to the 11.7. Things may have changed since then so I would simply ask the coaches.

That is also another reason to have stellar academics as sometimes your son may be awarded more academic money than athletic money. And together that can make a package more attractive.

There is a great website from which you can find out how much is spent per player and the operating budget of the school.

It's 11.7 scholarships unless it's changed recently.
