Hello all,

I would like to have some input from other college coaches or anyone in general about setting up a "Scout Day" this Fall Semester for my guys. I am the Head Baseball Coach at a new JuCo in Texas. I would like to invite other four year university Recruiting Coordinators and MLB Scouts.

How should I go about this? Obviously, send emails and call around... but I do not know any MLB Scouts or have connections to invite them. Also, what day should it be on? Would a Saturday afternoon be appropriate? Any details in particular that anyone can give me? I would genuinely appreciate it!

Thank you.

There is certainly plenty of Baseball & Baseball connection in Texas.   I think if you start calling around you'll get answers.   Might not hurt to touch base with the Houston Banditos & Dallas Tigers organizations to see if they can help with connections.   Obviously those organizations will help you w/ your recruiting as well.

Scouts or college coaches won't show up unless you have something for them to see. You have to be familiar with your players to let them know who is worth watching.

In Florida, they have JUCO showcases, big event each year, 4 year programs and scouts attend, find out if there is one close to your program.
