Good weather for it today, but we will need canoes if we are going to try to play out here near Weatherford. Good thing they are only calling for snow and ice Wednesday night & Thursday...oh wait, that is water too.

Looks like Southlake Carroll and Colleyville Heritage will try and get some baseball in this afternoon at Heritage (DH starting at 4:00PM). Could be snowing by the time it's over.

Mansfield @ Irving Nimitz today at 5:00 p.m. Bring a parka, umbrella & snowshoes. Who knows???

players all looked a little rough
-partly from 1st time out and alot from the freezing temps.

All in all it was great to be out watching High School baseball again- finally!

Travis Wallis started for R.O. Then it was Fletcher-2010, Milke-2010, Elles-2011, Thomas-2011. Another kid threw for them, not sure of his name though.

this is a great topic but it should be featured during the season to let all the baseball fans know where the games are. I bet we can find some great games around the dfw metroplex if we tap in to some posted information. All fans should weigh in this.

Well, it was the first time on the bump for them all year! So they both were a little rusty! However, Elles has definately picked up velocity from last year.

Back to the topic, are there any turf fields, tarps, and/or snow plows that will allow anybody to get a scrimmage of some kind in Friday/Saturday?

Between Jesuit, HP, and McBoyd turf fields it seems like there could be some type of big Metroplex scrimmage this weekend.

Nope....Jesuit was scheduled to play TCA at 11:00 this morning and South Garland at 3:00 (TCA & SG in between). All games cancelled. Field is still a winter wonderland. Just like some of the others, one set of batting cages are now on the ground. Jesuit at Heath on Tuesday. Hopefully the snow melts soon and field dries out in time.
