SEC Tournament Day 1

Congratulations to the Vols, and no you cannot ever count out Rod. He seems at his best when his back is against the wall. I know that Georgia was going to throw off, did any of the other top seeds do this? Does the SEC need to change the format of the tournament so that the teams with a region bid still try to win the tournament?

I wondered the same thing, but didn't take the time to look at the pitching. It worked for Rod in the past so I'm sure others took notice. I'm not sure how to make a change.

They asked Rod who was pitching today and he said Sean Watson if he could make it there from summer school. I also heard an interesting story on what happen to the injured catcher, Crowe. Seems like he also likes to fight.

You would think that with alot of baseball in front of them the maturity level and discipline (no fighting) would take over. In the past, I have found that the teams that have talent but just cannot seem to get it done are the ones that are not very mature and have very little discipline. Those two things are exposed when the pressure is turned up several notches. Maybe Rod has some characters with very little character.
