well after tryouts with the dodgers, orioles, yankees and Nationals i finally have found another place to play. Pending a physical i will be signing with the Nationals this friday, i'll be in extended for the remaining 3 weeks or so it lasts and then they'll make a decision on where to assign me. Well i'd just like to thank everyone on the board that has supported me since my release and i hope you will keep up with me as i further my career from here on out, again a big thanks to all of you who have been a big help, i will continue to frequent the board and help everyone as much as possible! Thanks!

Hooray, Shane!

Remember the plan:

"I got news for you Mr. Brown, you haven't heard the last of me. You may think I'm (blank) now, but someday you're gonna be sorry you cut me. I'm gonna catch on somewhere else and every time that I pitch against you I'm gonna....(you can fill in the rest)!"

Your Dad helped you with your mechanics, now go for it.

I look forward to rooting against you when you pitch against the Cards like I was doing for Zach last night! (It's a joke, OPP, really, just a joke! Wink .....kind of like the Cardinals season so far..... )
ha yes orlando, i dont think i get a chance to play against any ranger's teams until like AA but hey u never know i could be there soon, they want me to drop like 10lbs here and they said they need some help in both Low-A and High-A so im gonna be in extended for 3 weeks to get used to pitching to hitters again then im shipping out somewhere hopefully!
Shane, we really are all pulling for you.

Cal Ripken Jr's 8 elements of perseverence:
1) values: work ethic, integrity, etc.
2) strong will to succeed
3) love what you do
4) preparation
5) anticipation (take the big picture view of your future)
6) build trusting relationships
7) give back
8) courage

Judging from your posts, I'd say you will persevere.
Shane ...

Glad to hear that you have been picked up by the Nationals. I sincerely believe they are doing a very good job of bolstering their farm system with quality minor leaguers. The GM was with the Dbacks and seems to have a good eye for pitching talent ... go show them what you are made of. Congrats and may your future be all that you hope it will be.
Gooood news again on the HSBBW!!!!
Congrats AHSpitcher17!!!
Where there's a will, there's a way!! You just proved that!!
That's a true inspiration to others who will walk down the path you walked.
Thank youuuuuuuuu from the younger guys and their parents who are taking notes and learning, one step at a time!!
Congrats again!!! Keep your future looking bright!!
