The 16U Allen Wranglers Baseball club is hosting tryouts for the upcoming Fall '10 season.

This team has a proven history of success, dating back to 2006. Our all-time record is 203-86-3, competing favorably against some of the best competition in our age group.

This past year as a true 15U team, we finished 29-17, qualified for the 16U AABC State tournament, and competed almost exclusively against 16U select teams. The rest of the competition was high-end 15U teams. An unprecedented number of injuries at key positions prevented us from playing in the post-season, and hurt us during the regular season, but the team battled through those and is well prepared for varsity-level baseball entering their Sophomore year of high school.

This fall we will be playing in the BBI Sunday doubleheader league, and have a few open spots on our roster. Next summer will encompass league play and 6-7 showcase tournaments, totaling 50+ games. The coaching staff has been with this team for 4+ years and is committed to developing players to play at the collegiate level. Several of our coaches had successful college careers. Wes Tarbox and Eddie Edwards were offered, and accepted, positions to coach one of the Allen High School varsity teams this fall, which will play on Saturdays. We believe this speaks to the level of coaching competence and trust that other programs have in what we are trying to accomplish with the Allen Wranglers.

We are not a large organization (will field 4 teams in various age groups this fall), but remain extremely committed to the development of ballplayers in our area and under our tutelage. We pride ourselves in treating you and your family with the utmost respect, knowing communication on and off the field, and team-first attitudes are a critical part of developing baseball and personal life skills.

For more information about our team (past and present), please visit our website at www.allenwranglers.com

You may also see us in the Plano Star Courier and Allen American at: http://scntx.com/articles/2010...hools/allen/0006.txt

The tryout will be held at 10am at The Gabe at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch on Saturday, Aug 14. We ask that you let us know if you plan to be at the tryout, so we can accommodate all the players in a fair way in order to properly evaluate your skills. If you have any questions, please never hesitate to contact us! wa_2_fst@tx.rr.com or 214-215-4712

Texas Hurricanes 14u major are looking for two more players to fill their roster for the fall. We currently have our own indoor and outdoor lighted 60/90 facility to practice on. We are an independent club with non-paid coaches who have been together for the last nine years.

We start the team when they are 13 and coach them for two years before turning over to the high schools and then we start all over again.

We have had great sucess in the past and expect it again with this years squad. Most of our players do make varsity as freshman, that is our goal.

For information please call John Wesson at 214-213-6293 or email at justj03@aol.com

Really looking for a big bat and an athlete that can run. Our team fee's are probably the cheapest around and we play and practice probably more then any team. We get the best from our players and they learn the game and have fun.

Texas Hurricanes 12u Major

We are still looking for 2 more talented players to fill our team, we are based out of Garland and play in all the biggest tournaments. This season we will be going to Shreveport, Houston, Oklahoma, Kansas City and Park City's Utah, plus we will play in the top tournaments in the North Texas area. We work our players hard and we practice a lot. Your kid will get better and when he goes to hs making varsity as a freshman is our goal.

The goals for our team is making each kid the best he can be and making memories he will always remember, we do not trophy hunt but we do want to win. Learning how to win, expecting to win and dealing with pressure is just as important as learning how to field grounders and catching fly balls.

Please call or email John Wesson for try out details
